Honey Tangerine Fizz

December 28, 2015 By Lokness 6 Comments

Honey Tangerine Fizz is the bubbly mocktail for the citrus season! Add a little bit of gin or vodka to make an alcoholic drink!

Honey Tangerine Fizz 1| The Missing Lokness

Any plan for New Year eve? Bryan and I don’t really like traffic, huge crowd and road blocks. Therefore, counting down somewhere on the street or at a restaurant isn’t exactly our kind of things. We are likely going to stay put and enjoy a quiet night at our warm and cozy home. Let’s hope I wouldn’t fall asleep on the couch by 11pm! Finger crossing… 😛

Even though we will be celebrating at home, it doesn’t mean that it has to be boring. We are probably going to watch a movie or play some video games. Most importantly, we can cheer to the new year with this sweet and refreshing mocktail (or cocktail)! The citrus season has arrived, the tangerines, mandarins and clementines are all very sweet, cheap and easy to find. With a little honey and lemon juice, this seasonal and bubbly drink is your best way to start the year!

Happy 2016! Wishing you all a wonderful new year ahead!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup fresh tangerine juice (strained) (about 7 – 8 tangerines)
  • ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2½ tablespoons honey
  • ¾ cup San Pellegrino Sparkling Beverage, Limonata (lemon)
  • 1½ ounces Gin or Vodka (optional)
  • 10 - 12 ice cubes
  • 4 raspberries (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a pitcher or large measuring cup, combine the tangerine juice, lemon juice and honey. Stir until the honey has dissolved. Pour in the sparkling beverage. If using alcohol, add it right now. Stir gently.
  • In 2 serving glasses, add 5 – 6 ice cubes in each cup. Pour in the fizz. Garnish each drink with 2 raspberries. Serve immediately.

Notes

  1. You can use mandarins or clementines as well.
  2. If you can’t find San Pellegrino Sparkling Beverage, use lemon sparkling water or club soda. Taste and adjust the amount of lemon juice and honey.

I love your beautiful drinks. I want to pick this one right up and guzzle it! : ) Hope you have a wonderful New Year. We will be relaxing at home, too.
PS – I made your egg tarts again this weekend for my in-laws who came over for the day to visit. They loved it! : ) Need to make another batch so I can have a taste because they took the leftovers home.

It has a lighter texture & it’s creamier & fluffier! Try this copycat recipe at home & serve at a dinner party. Your guests will thank you!

Instagram post 2190271108846922675_177966662 I have news to share. We’re moving to San Jose, California! In just a few days, we’ll pack up & start the next chapter.

Not in a million years did I think we would leave LA. Bryan is born & raised in this city, and I have been living here since I moved to the US (except 2 years in Irvine). But an amazing opportunity popped up, and we decided to take it.

Although we’re exciting about our new adventure, we’re very sad to leave our families & friends. We’ll miss you all so much, but we’ll come back to visit often! 👋🏻🌴
Instagram post 2186655305593433913_177966662 For the first time, I had my knives professionally sharpened!🔪 And they came back just in time for Thanksgiving prep. The best thing is that the sharpening is all done through @knifeaid mail-in service.📮 One of my knives had a lot of little chips on the blade. After sharpening, all the chips are gone. It’s like a brand new knife! 🥳 #ad
Instagram post 2185931001394264354_177966662 #TBT Infinity Fizz drink at Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park. Non-alcoholic. Tasty, but quite sweet with cherry flavored popping boba. If you don’t feel like something boozy, this is a fun choice. The drink did bubble for a long time! @disneyland #slowmotion
Instagram post 2178713488275286281_177966662 We went to @Disneyland earlier this week. It has been a long time since we visited Disneyland during the holiday season. The festive decorations & atmosphere lift me up every time.☃️🎄 And of course, we love that food that are only available during the holiday, like this Mickey Gingerbread Man.🐭 Funny thing is that this is the first gingerbread man I have eaten. It was soft on the inside with a slight crust on the outside. The ginger & spices were not overpowering, but spot-on. It was good & I like it!

Instagram post 2169226220091426478_177966662 Muay Thai Wings at @ayarathai. These chicken wings are marinated & fried to perfection! Savory, crispy skin & juicy meat. The wings are very flavorful that you don’t really need the dipping sauce. 5 wings are definitely NOT enough! 😜 Can I have another order please?
