In this rainy weather, Bryan was a bit sick. In Hong Kong, people believe a cup of hot lemon and ginger coke would alleviate cold and flu symptoms. But, some people believe that this hot drink is invented by a Hong Kong cafe owner. The owner saw the slow selling of coke during winter time, so he invented hot coke drink and claimed it is a remedy for cold and flu. This helped with the selling rapidly. Even though hot lemon and ginger coke may not be a remedy, a cup of hot drink is comforting when sick.

Well, cola drinks – including Coca-cola, Pepsi, and even Dr. Pepper – were originally sold as tonics in drugstores.
Also, coke as a remedy to what ails you is not that different from ginger ale which hospitals still give out to patients.
Whatever works! For me it’s iced tea that always soothes an upset stomach.

This worked for me! I was coughing non stop with headache and body aches. Drank 12oz of coke with a chunk of ginger and half a lime and I stopped coughing enough to finally get to sleep! Will share with all my friends
